A body has been found by search teams looking for a missing British woman in Tenerife.
Amy Louise Gerard, 28, originally from Cleethorpes, was last seen outside Irish bar, Molly Malone’s in Puerto de la Cruz in the early hours of Friday.
Ms Gerard works at the Spanish island’s Loro Parque marine theme park. Her mother and sister had flown out to help with the search.
Policia Nacional confirmed a body had been found but not yet identified.
BBC reporter Phillip Norton, who is in Puerto de la Cruz, said he saw the coastguard and rescuers “appear to recover a body from the water” at about 11:30 GMT.
According to her Facebook profile, University of Lincoln graduate Ms Gerard trains killer whales at the theme park on the island, where she has been living and working since May 2016.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office earlier confirmed it was assisting the family of a British woman in Tenerife.
